GILLS WHITISH THEN BLACK-GRAY

Gills: attached; crowded; whitish, then black-gray

STALK WITH RING AND WHITE THREADS AT BASE

Stalk: 2-5 cm long, 3-8 mm thick; whitish; base with white mycelial threads
Ring: grooved; on upper mid stalk, often darkened by spores

SPORE PRINT DARK PURPLE BROWN

Spores: 7-11 x 4.5-5 µm, smooth, elliptical
